The teachers in this community are Thelma Herring, Maree Boyd, Morgan Tomlin and Heather McHarg (Thelma’s release teacher on Thursdays). Their home rooms are as follows:
Mrs Herring and Mrs McHarg are in the red room (the old LC6)
Mrs Boyd is in the yellow room (the old LC7)
Mr Tomlin is in the green room (the od LC8)
The children will meet in the yellow room every morning for our Harakeke Hui time. Prior to that time the children will be expected to have dropped their reading packet off to the room they will be reading in and signed in for the day in the foyer of the yellow room. Therefore it is important that they get to school in time to do these jobs and be prepared for learning. Please remember the bell goes at 8.50am.
Swimming will begin tomorrow therefore we ask that your child has ALL their clothing and swimming gear named, including goggles, swim caps and rash tops. If clothing is named we can return it, if not we can’t.
We will share more details with you at ‘Meet the teacher’ Wednesday night when you get the chance to come and see the Learning Communities. The evening begins in the Wharenui at 7.15pm followed by two identical sharing sessions in each community one at 7.30pm and the other at 8pm, this allows people to attend two sessions if they have more than one child at school.
